OTET Exam Details

According to the news revealed by the Board of Secondary Education, Orissa through BSE Odisha OTET Notification, the examination will be divided into 2 parts i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates qualifying in a paper I are eligible for teaching the students of class I to class V and qualifying in paper II are eligible for teaching the students of class VI to VIII. Aspirants qualifying both are eligible for teaching the students from class I to class VIII. For the interested candidates of this Orissa TET Examination, it has issued the Application Form. OTET Eligibility Criteria and Qualification

For Paper 1:

Higher Secondary with minimum 50% marks and having 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education or Special Education approved by RCI or Graduation with 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education / Diploma in Special Education approved by RCI.

For Paper 2:

Graduation with minimum 50% marks with 1 year Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) / 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education) approved by RCI/Higher Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4 years B.A. Ed./ B.Sc. Ed. (integrated course).

Validity Period of OTET

The Validity Period of Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test qualifying certificate for appointment will be 7 years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories.

OTET Selection Procedure

Candidates who have applied for the BSE Odisha OTET Notification, they will be selected based on their performance in Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test.

How to fill Orissa TET Application Form

• First of all, Applicants need to the official website www.bseodisha.nic.in
• Then click on the examination tab on the official homepage.
• Then select the appropriate link and click on it.
• Now Application form will be open on your screen
• Full fill all details carefully.
• If you have finished your form formality then click on the submit button.
• Take a printout of filled form for future use.

Application Fee for OTET:

The candidates need to pay application fee of Rs 350/- through e-challan generated while filling the Orissa TET Application Form. Fee should be paid through any branch of SBI.

Orissa TET Exam Pattern

Paper 1 Pattern:

• OTET Paper II has 5 subjects
• Total number of Questions is 150
• Paper 1 will be for 150 marks, each question carries 1 Mark
• Time Duration of Exam is 2 Hours 30 Minutes
• No Negative Marking for wrong Answer

 Paper 2 Pattern:

• OTET Paper II has 4 papers, out of which 3 papers are compulsory.
• Total number of Questions is 150
• Total Marks is 150, each question carries 1 Mark
• Time Duration of Exam is 2 Hours 30 Minutes
• No Negative Marking for wrong Answer

OTET Exam Cutoff (or) Qualifying Marks

• OTET Cut off is the minimum qualifying marks which the candidates will have to score both in Paper I & II.
• If a candidate will score 60% mark that is 90 marks out of 150 Marks will be considered as the OTET qualified candidates.
