Vodafone DND: Activate / DeActivate Do Not Disturb Service Easily

Vodafone DND Service Activation Procedure: Hi, guys are you getting unwanted messages/calls when you are in the busy time? Are you got irritation for those incessant calls or messages? Don’t worry about it, The TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) was introduced a service called DND (Do Not Disturb) service for those people who are not interested in commercial ads from the respected networks. This service can stop the calls or messages from the ad agencies. NCPR (National Preference Consumer Register) allows the subscriber to activate the DND service and register into the NCPR. So that any ad agency wants to make a call to the consumer shall verify their call list in NCPR so that the activated DND subscribers cannot receive those calls.

What do you mean by Vodafone DND?

We know that Vodafone is the British multinational telecommunication company. It is largest network spread across the India. The consumers who are get irritated about the commercial ads from the Vodafone service provider can activate this DND service for their numbers. There is a small procedure for the activating the ‘do not disturb’ service in Vodafone GSM to block unwanted calls or messages.

How to Activate DND in Vodafone Network?

It is a default procedure that so many people are using for activation of Vodafone DND.

• Type a text message in the following format.
• Send this text to the 1909 number.
• You will get the conformation message.

There are two categories for blocking that is full blocking & partial blocking. They are,

Vodafone Full Blocking Services

The Vodafone subscriber who wants to block the unwanted calls and SMS from the commercial ad agencies can register to this full blocking service. It acts like a gate which does not allow any disturbance call or messages or anything without the subscriber’s permission. Procedure for subscribing the DND service can be followed in two ways they are

Subscribe through the SMS

Send a message like the way show here SMS <Space> START 0 to 1909 for full blocking of services.

Subscribe through the Call

Make a call to the 1909 and follow the IVRS instructions for getting the DND option. Select the activation/Deactivation of Vodafone DND services and then chose to activate the option.

Vodafone GSM Partial Blocking Services

Here the subscriber can select the field from the seven preferences according to his/her interest. They can choose multiple fields if he doesn’t require more than one. The following table, shows the format for getting started of DND for a particular field.

Here the subscriber can select the uninterested fields for blocking and they can choose multiple of them

Subscribe through the call

The alternate procedure for the activation of the DND service is, make a call to 1909 and follow the IVRS instructions to get activation to the DND service.

Deactivation of Vodafone DND Services:

In generally our mind will be changed based on the situations demand on us and according to the situations we can think and take decisions. Like the way, if the subscriber wants to Deactivate DND service it is possible to do it. You can simply unsubscribe to the DND services by a single SMS as SMS<Space>STOP to 1909. Or you can make a call to 1909 with followed instructions you can deactivate the Vodafone DND services.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

• The DND (Do Not Disturb) Service can’t stop some services like the Bank alerts, bank communication, online booking alerts, etc.
• Note that the activation/deactivation of the DND service on a GSM network will take place in 7 days.
• No cost will be charged for the DND Activation/Deactivation process because 1909 is a toll-free
