What Does DND Stands for, How to Activate/ Register for the Tata DoCoMo DND Service?

DND stands for ‘Do Not Disturb.’ it was a service provided by the Tata Docomo, the user or subscriber those who want to avoid the commercial ad call /SMS can subscribe to this service by registering into the NCPR. After registering, the subscriber will receive and unique confirmation SMS and after that DND get activated for those number. The NDNC (National don’t call registry) is a registry that does not allow the commercial ads to the registered numbers and so the subscriber gets relief from those irritating calls/SMS.

Procedure for Activating DND service for Docomo:

Note that here we are giving the default procedure that so many people is following for activation of DND.

• Type a text message in the following format.
• Send this text to the 1909 number.
• You will get the conformation message.

There are two categories in the DND activation process they are described below in detail format. The first one is full blocking and another one is partial blocking.

Tata DoCoMo DND PROCEDURE for FULL BLOCKING

This full blocking category will provide complete restriction of the commercial ads and unwanted SMS. Procedure for the full blocking is given below:

Full blocking through the SMS

First of all, make sure for activation of DND services, now type the SMS like the way SMS><Space><START 0 to 1909.

Full blocking through the Call

This is an alternate procedure to activate the service, make a call to 1909 and follow the instructions given by the IVRS and get respond until you reach the DND services activation step. After that, you can get register for the DND service by receiving the Confirmation message.

Partial blocking through the SMS

In this partial blocking the subscriber can block some of the topics according to his/her preferences and there is a default list for preference that was given below. The subscriber can select multiple options for partial blocking.

In the above table, you can select the multiple options like the example SMS START X, X to 1909. Replace the X with the preference number.

Tata DoCoMo Partial blocking though the Call

It is nothing but making a call to 1909 and followed by the IVRS instructions the partial blocking was selected. Choosing the option will depend on upon the subscriber.

HOW TO REMOVE YOUR NUMBER FROM TATA DOCOMO DND REGISTRY?

The subscriber may choose this option when they want and the DND deactivation procedure for the Tata Docomo subscribers was given below. There are two ways, one is by sending a message for the toll-free number and gets deactivated. SMS format is SMS><Space><STOP to 1909. Another one is by making a call to 1909 and selects the deactivation option in the IVRS instructions.

• After registration to the Activation/ deactivation of DND, it will get activated after a period of seven days
• These services can’t stop some services like Bank alerts, Bank communications, online booking alerts, and third party personal calling, etc.
• 1909 was a toll-free number so no charges will be applied to it.
