Nagarjuna Early Life:

Akkineni Nagarjuna was born on 29 August 1959 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is the Son of Nageswara Rao Akkineni and Annapurna Akkineni. The family later shifted to Hyderabad, where he completed his education in Hyderabad Public School and Little Flower Junior College. Nagarjuna did his Bachelor of Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy.  He completed his M.S. in Automobile Engineering from Eastern Michigan University.

Career:

• Nagarjuna made his acting debut with the movie Vikram released on May 24, 1986, it was a remake of the Hindi film Hero starring Jackie Shroff. Later he did 4 more movies and then came up with the film Majnu in a tragic role.
• He also shared screen with his father in the movie Collector gari Abbayi.
• Nagarjuna acted as a child artist in the 1967 Telugu film Sudigundalu directed by veteran Adurthi Subbarao
• His first big hit was Akari poratam with Sridevi which ran 100 days
• Gheetanjali directed by Mani Ratnam and Shiva by Ram Gopal Varma were biggest break throughs for his career.
• Nagarjuna made Bollywood debut with the remake of shiva. Hello brother brought him mass image. Later his career rose up with many hits, experimental and also devotional movies.
• His movies list include Ninne pelladatha, Nenunnnau, Mass, Don, King etc.
• He did devotional movies like Annamayya, Sri Rama Dasu , shiridi Sai and recently Oh Namo venkatesaya.
• He also did experimental movies like Gaganam, Oopiri etc.
• A fantasy movie Manam, was done by whole Akkineni family starring 3 generations, Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil.
• Nagarjuna revived his father’s production Annapurna Studios which has become one of the most successful production companies of recent times in Tollywood.
• He also did a special role in Srikanth’s son Roshan’s debut movie Nirmala convent.
• Nagarjuna produces Movies and serials in the production of Annapurna Studios.
• He was also presenter of The show – Meelo Evaru Koteesawarudu in Maa Tv Telugu.

Non Film Work:

• Nagarjuna is the owner of several restaurants in India and abroad and often visits them on a regular basis.
• He is one of the partners of MAA Tv, which was now sold to Star Plus And became Star Maa.
• Nagarjuna is investing close to 87 crores in real estate projects in Dubai. He is planning to team up with SRK to build a national level power project in Hyderabad.
• Nagarjuna is close friend of Anil Ambani and also Amitabh Bachan.
• Nagarjuna made his début as a television producer in 2009 with the serial Yuva
• In 2010, he starred in an HIV/AIDS animated software tutorial created by Teach AIDS, a nonprofit founded at Stanford University.
• As of 2013, He is the co-owner of Mumbai Masters of the Indian Badminton League, along with Sunil Gavaskar, and Mahi Racing Team India, along with Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
• Nagarjuna currently endorses Kalyan Jewellers in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
• He is listed #56 and #61 in Forbes India’s top 100 Celebrities for the years 2012 and 2013 respectively
• Nagarjuna, with his wife Amala, are the co-founders of Blue Cross of Hyderabad, a registered society recognized by the Animal Welfare Board of India.
• He is very much known for his glamour even in the age of 57. And so he is called Tollywood Manmadudu.

Nagarjuna Personal Life:

Nagarjuna Married 2 times. His first marriage was in 1984 with Lakshmi Daggupati who was the daughter of Producer, Akkineni Rama Naidu and sister of Venkatesh and Suresh Babu. Naga Chaitanya was their son. The couple divorced in 1990. Later Nagarjuna married his costar Amala in 1992. Akhil was the son of Amala and Nagarjuna. Recently Akhil was engaged with Shriya Bhopal And the pair ended their engagement. Naga Chaitanya was Engaged with Tollywood Star heroine Samantha. Their marriage will be held in Annapurna Studios.
