About National Institute of Open Schooling
National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is formally known as National Open School (NOS). It is responsible for conducting the 10th and 12th class exams in every year as per schedule. National Board conducts SSC/10th class Exams in the month of March or April.

NIOS Admission Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- To get admission in Secondary Class/10th class in NIOS, you should possess at least class 8th.
- To get admission in Senior Secondary Class, you should possess minimum educational qualification as 10th class or its equivalent from the recognized board (or) institute.
Age Limit:
For the enrolment in Secondary Class, the minimum age required is 14 Years and for Senior Secondary Class, the minimum age limit is 15 years.
