Mohit Chauhan Early Life:
Mohit Chauhan Early Life: Mohit Chauhan was born in Sirmaur district in Himachal Pradesh. He belongs to Rajput family. He was graduated in Geology in Himachal Pradesh.
He never learned music or any other Instrument but he can play Guitar, flute and Harmonica.
Mohit formed the band Silk Route with his schoolmate Kem Trevedi (pianist) in 1996.
He started singing Indian pop songs, with Arpit Gupta he released 2 albums Boondein (1998) and Pehchan. He stayed calm for few years and came back in 2005.
He has many hits songs and albums in his career. He sung numerous number of songs and won many awards like Film fare etc.
Career:
In 2005 he came back with the song “Guncha” under his own composition. A.R.Rahman was impressed with this song and his voice and asked to sing for the movie Rang Dhe Basanti. But he met with the success with the chance of Songs in Jab we met.
His first successful album was Boondein which was a huge hit and hit the charts for weeks. His career continued with the success of Jab we met, Rand dhe basanthi, Delhi 6, Love AAjkal, Kamine, Rock star, Tanu weds manu etc.
His first Tamil song was for the movie 3 by Anirudh.
Along with songs in the Films he also sung for commercials like Parachute, Wheel (detergent), Alpenlibe, Nescafe, Hippo Munchies, Vicks Vapor Rub, Maruti Suzuki Alto (2011). He has also sung the theme song for Star Parivaar Awards along with Shreya Ghoshal in 2011.
