CDS 1 Notification

Every year Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the CDS Exams twice. Combined Defence Services Exam (CDSE) is a written exam conducted for select officers for Army, Navy and Air Force. Candidates who want to make their career as govt sector can refer the CDS 1 Notification 2019.

Eligibility for CDS (I):

Educational Qualification:

For Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA):

Candidates should completed Degree or its equivalent qualification from a recognized university

For Indian Naval Academy:

Candidates should completed Degree in Engineering (Unmarried male candidates are only eligible to Apply) from a recognized University/Institution.

For Air Force Academy:

Candidates should possess Degree (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.

Age limit for CDS Exam:

As per official CDS 1 Notification 2019, Candidate’s age limit should be between 18 to 24 years. Age Relaxation will be applicable according to UPSC norms.

Selection Process for Combined Defence Services Recruitment:

Combined Defence Services Recruitment 2019 Selection Process may be Written Examination followed by Interview.

UPSC CDS I Application Form Fee:

  • For General & OBC candidates need to pay application fee of Rs. 200/-.
  • For SC/ST/Female candidates no need to pay any application fee
  • Applicants need to pay the application fee through online using Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card or through offline by depositing fee at any SBI Branch.

UPSC CDS Apply Online Procedure

  • Eligible candidate may apply online via official website of UPSC @ upsconline.nic.in
  • Click on the link of UPSC CDS 2019 Apply Online
  • After select Part 1 Registration for fill personal details.
  • After complete Part I registration, Click on Part II link and pay the fee
  • At last click on submit form.
  • Take a print out copy of it for future use

CDS Exam Pattern

  • The CDS I Exam is of Objective type & it contains Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Duration of exam is 2 Hours.
  • Each paper is conducted for 100 marks.
  • There is a negative marking for each wrong answer.
