About NATA Exam

National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) provides admission to the students who are willing to pursue Architecture course by conducting a national wide entrance exam called NATA under the supervision of Council of Architecture (COA) followed by academic year. It is mandatory to qualify in the aptitude test for attaining admission into B. Arch degree course. Let’s look for the details regarding NATA Exam.

Note: Architecture Entrance Exam Dates not fixed as it is usually conducted in the month of May every year.

Eligibility Criteria

eligibilityAge: Candidates who are willing to pursue the course should have age of 17 years.

Educational Qualification: The students who completed 10+2 or any equivalent degree or Diploma are eligible for this course. They should have mathematics as one of the subjects in 12th and should qualify with an aggregate of 50%.

NATA Application

NATA online registration starts from 1st week of January and the candidates who are willing to attain admission for architecture course can apply for this examination before the last date of the registration. Look down for the procedure of filling application form.

How to Apply Online

Step 2:  Click on the “New Candidate Registration” and fill the application form.

Step 3:  Upload scanned photograph and signature in allotted areas.

Step 4:  Check whether there are any mistakes occurred while filling application form.

Step 5:  Finally click submit and take the print-out of application form for future references.

 Fee

The application fee for NATA exam is Rs.1250/- and can be paid either online or offline. The source for making payment through online is using Credit cards or Debit cards or Internet Banking and the source for making payment through offline is through generating e-challan and making payment in ICICI bank.

  • Candidates who are willing to prepare for NATA exam should go through the notification first.
  • Fill the application form, pay fee and take the print out for future references.
  • Practice all the model papers by downloading or purchasing books. Good practice helps the students to score well.
  • Download hall ticket when it is generated and keep it safe until the completion of the exam.
  • Don’t perform any malpractice until the completion of the exam. This leads to bad conduct and the candidate may be debarred from the exam and this spoils the future of the student.

Cut Off

TestingAs per the Council of Architecture (COA) admission guidelines, a candidate who has applied for NATA exam should score 40% i.e. at least 80/200 for attaining admission into first year B. Arch Course.

NATA Hall Ticket

Hall tickets are issued 2 weeks before the examination date. Hall ticket or admit card comprises of candidate’s name, photo, signature, registration number, roll no, exam venue etc. and the candidate should be aware of it. Candidate should not misplace the hall ticket until the completion of the exam unless they may not enter into the examination hall. They don’t have the availability to attend the examination.

How to Download Hall Ticket

downloadStep 1:  Go to the official website www.nata.nic.in.

Step 2:  Click on the option admit card.

Step 3:  Enter your registered number in required area and click ok.

Step 4:  Download admit card and take a print-out of it.

Step5:   Keep it safe until the completion of the examination.
