Tamannah was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India on 21 December 1989. Santhosh and Rajani Bhatia were her parents. She has an elder brother, Anand. Her father is a diamond merchant. She is of Sindhi descent. Tamannah did her schooling in SJR high School, Mumbai. Later she changed her screen name for numerological reasons. Tamannaah started working since the age of 13. Then also became a part of Mumbai’s Prithvi Theatre for a year.
