Pratyusha Banerjee Profile: Pratyusha Banerjee (1991-2016) is an Indian Actress. She appeared in many TV shows and serials. She got into fame initially with Bhalika Vadhu;this is the first leading role. She earned a house hold name Anandi with this serial.
Pratyusha Banerjee Early Life
Banerjee was born in Jamshedpur city of Jharkhand to Shankar and Soma Banerjee. In 2010, she left Jamshedpur to work in Mumbai. She was the daughter of Shankar Banerjee and Sona Banerjee.
Career:
- She was signed as a lead role in 2010 Indian television series Balika Vadhu as an adult Anandi, replacing Avika Ghor.
- According to the actress, she was chosen via a talent hunt, surpassing the contestants Nivedita Tiwari from Lucknow and Ketaki Chitale from Mumbai.
- It was said that she left the Serial due to her mother’s health.
- After quitting from Balika Vadhu, she was offered a role in a film by Vikram Bhatt, but Pratyusha rejected the offer.
- Following the success of the show, Banerjee participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 5).
- But she left the dance show, stating that she was not comfortable during the dance rehearsals.
- She was also one of the most competitive contestants in the seventh season of the show Bigg Boss. She was eliminated after 2 months
- She appeared in Power Couple, along with her partner Rahul Raj Singh.
- Banerjee had played vital roles in Hum Hain Na, Sasural Simar Ka and Gulmohar Grand
- She was seen in a negative role in Sasural Simar Ka on Colors. She has essayed the role of Mohini in the series but later quit the show.

Anandi Death:
- Pratyusha Banerjee committed suicide on April 1 by hanging from the fan at her Mumbai home.
- She was rushed to the Kokilaben hospital where she was declared dead.
- Pratyusha was cremated as a bride as she had mentioned her wish to get married sometime before committing suicide hence her family dressed her as a bride before bidding her adieu
- according to the postmortem report the cause of death was asphyxia
Pratyusha Banerjee Personal Life:
She earlier dated and had a relationship with Makrand Malhotra, a businessman. But later they got separated due to some issues. Pratyusha Also filed a case on Makrand for abusing her. Later, she was in Dating with Rahul Rah Singh (actor and Producer).
It is said that Rahul Raj was the reason for suicide. The last call of Pratyusha was to Rahul Raj. And the conversation add base to the comment.
