IBPS PO Exam Details
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection or IBPS PO exam is conducted to recruit personnel in nationalized banks in India for the post of Probationary Officer (PO). The IBPS conducts an online CWE or Common Written Examination on behalf of various nationalized banks.
The IBPS PO exam is held for selection of Probationary Officers across the India.
IBPS PO Exam Pattern
The SBI PO exam is mainly consists three stages.
- PO Preliminary Exam
- PO Mains Exam
- PO Common Interview
The written exam will be held in two stages that is preliminary exam and main exam. Those candidates who qualify preliminary examination will be short-listed to attend in main examination and those candidates who clear the main exam will be eligible for Interview process.
IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern
The Preliminary examination is an objective type paper and duration of this paper is one hour. Total 100 questions will be asked in this prelims examination.

IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern
IBPS PO Main Examination will consist of Objective& descriptive tests and both objective and descriptive tests will be conducted through online mode. After the completion of the Objective test, the descriptive will be conducted.
IBPS PO Mains- objective Test
The IBPS PO mains objective test will consists total 200 marks and the duration of the test will be three hours.

IBPS PO Mains – Descriptive Test
The IBPS PO descriptive paper will be asked for 50 marks assigned to the test of English Language and the duration of this exam will be 30 minutes. You will be tested on Letter Writing & Essay. To qualify the Descriptive Test You will be needed to get passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.
IBPS PO Interview Process
The interview process is the final stage of IBPS PO examination. For Interview process total 100 marks will be allotted. In interview the minimum qualifying marks will not be less than 40% and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
The weightage of CWE which is a part Main exam and interview will be 80:20 respectively. The final result shall be announced on the basis of scores obtained in the Main Examination and Interview by the candidates.
