Prep Tips

The students who are preparing for BITSAT exam should follow the below preparation tips:

  • It is time to prepare for the exam after completing the application process.
  • The candidates should classify the subjects according to his interests in subjects.
  • The candidates should then fix a schedule for the preparation. The candidate should spend most of the time for preparation in order to obtain a good score.
  • The students must in contact with their lecturers. It will help to clarify their doubts whenever necessary.
  • The candidates should pay concentration on typical subjects and practice more to attain good score.
  • The students should practice all the model papers which would help them to gain a good score.
  • Before attending examination center, the student should handle all the credentials necessary to attend the examination hall i.e. hall-ticket or admit card.
  • Time management is very necessary while preparing and attending exam. The students should be alert while writing exam. First they should attempt all the questions which they are well-known and later move to typical questions.
  • No malpractice should be committed during the examination. This gives raise to bad conduct of the candidate and the student may be debarred.

Model Papers 

Practicing of model papers helps the students to attain good score in their exams. Some model papers are provided with solutions while some are not. The students can either purchase exam preparation books or download from the system and then practice those model papers.

Cut Off

The cut-off for every subject may vary year-to-year and branch to branch. For example, the cut-off for Electricals & Electronics may vary from 330 – 380; for Civil Engineering, it might vary in between 320 to 340; for Computer Science, it varies in between 345 – 390 and so on.

BITSAT notification might be announced most probably in 2nd or 3rd week of January and closed in 2nd week of March. Students who are willing to pursue engineering courses, can prepare for this exam. Eligibility Requirements

Candidates who are willing to pursue engineering courses in BITS should complete their higher secondary education from recognized Board or University with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English are eligible to pursue this course. The candidates should score an aggregate of 75% in their groups in 12th. Candidates who completed higher secondary education or its equivalent on or before 2016 are not eligible to attain admission in this institution.

Application Details

Applications might be available from 2nd week of January i.e. after the release of notification and can be filled through online from the website of BITSAT. Candidates can choose their exam centers among three centers viz. Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad and the allotment is done on the basis of preferences and availability of test centers. Candidates who want to choose Dubai as a test center can mark choices only for one test center.

How to Apply Procedure

Look down for the process of filling BITSAT application:

Step 1:  First open the official website www.bitsadmission.com.

Step 2:  Enter the necessary information in the required fields.

Step 3:  Upload scanned photo and signature.

Step 4:  The process get completed after payment of application fee which can be done through online or offline.

Step 5:  Before submitting the application, check whether the information given is correct or not. Once the submitted, it’s not possible the edit the application.

Step 6:  After submitting, application with PDF format is generated. Download and take a print-out for future references.

Fee

The application fee for male candidates might be Rs.2, 750/- whereas for female candidates, it is around Rs.2, 250/- and can be paid through online or offline. Online payment may be through Debit / Credit cards or through Internet-Banking. Offline payment may be done by generating e- challan and the fee should be paid before the due date.

Hall Ticket

Admit-card or Hall-ticket is an important credential for attending examination. It is released one or two weeks before the examination date and can be downloaded from the official website. Admit-card comprises of details like candidate name, roll no. and venue of the exam etc. The candidate should hold the admit card with him until the completion of the examination. In case of misplace, the candidate may not be allowed into the examination hall.

How to Download Process

Look down for the process of downloading hall-ticket or admit-card.

Step 1:  Visit the official website www.bitsadmission.com.

Step 2:  Enter the applicant’s registration no. or roll no.

Step 3:  There will be a link appeared on the screen to download admit card. Click it.

Step 4:  Take the print-out of the admit card.
